What character trait do you admire most about Alexa? She's fierce and smart, two awesome things, but what else do you think lures readers in about her?

Sara B. Larson There are so many things to love about Alexa; but besides being fierce and smart, I'd say her courage is one of the things I admire most about her. She never gives up, no matter how bad things get. And she fights for what she believes in and to protect those she loves. In many ways, courage is a theme in DEFY for many of the characters--finding the courage to continue on in the face of tragedy and death, in the face of fear and ridicule, and in the face of insurmountable odds.
