Hi and thanks for writing to me. Picking a favorite Guardian Herd book is like picking a favorite child! I love STARFIRE because it was the first time I entered the world of Anok. I love STORMBOUND because Star struggles with his own dark side. LANDFALL because I think it's the most fun and because Star finally accepts who he is. And WINDBORN because everything that has been learned comes in to play as Star and his friends work together toward freedom.

My tips for you are to write and read regularly! Stories are easier to start than to finish, so practice finishing your stories. And write your first drafts all the way through without editing or judgement. Once the story is completed, then go back and revise it. Don't worry about creating perfect sentences, just try to nail down the complete story first. Then revise it until the story makes sense and isn't confusing. Then polish the sentences last!
