Hi! I really like the Guardian Herd series and was wondering which book is your favorite? Also, I like to write stories and was wondering if you had any tips. Thanks!

Hi Theresa,
I apologize I didn't see your question sooner! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be LANDFALL. I love Morningleaf's venture into Jungle Herd's territory, watching the yearlings learn how to fight and sharpen their hooves, the battle scenes, and the emotional scenes. I like seeing the herds working together. I think it's a well-rounded book with an amazing cover, and it was fun to write!
As far as your writing: read a lot and write a lot! Most importantly, share your work with friends and/or family and ask for feedback. Not if they like it or don't like it, but rather is the story too slow, too fast, is it confusing, are the characters likeable, is the ending satisfying, do you believe the characters, do you worry about the characters? By asking specific questions, you're not putting your reader on the spot with something vague like: "Did you like it?" Also, specific questions are easier for people to answer. And not everyone will like every story anyway! Lastly, practice finishing your stories. They are usually much easier to begin than to finish, but you'll learn more about writing if you make it a habit to finish your work.
I hope this is helpful! Thanks for reading my books. All my best, Jennifer

I have to say my favorite character in the book is Dewberry, (she reminds me of me! Haha! ) Out of all 4 books in the series, which was the most fun to write? Thank you!!!! ~Sydney
