Darren Shan Write lots, and write for fun. Don't worry about impressing other people. Write stories that you would like to read. Be ambitious -- I set out to write a sequel to Lord Of The Rings when I was about that age! -- but don't get upset when you fall short of your goals. Writing is all about failing, learning from your mistakes, and gradually improving.
