Stuart Gibbs That is a very big, very complicated question to answer. There's really no way to know where an idea will come from. It can come from almost anywhere: reading another book, visiting a place, talking to friends. Once you have it, and you know it's good, it can take another few months or a year of thinking about it, doing research, etc, to figure out how to set up a plot.
