First of all hi!! 2 years ago luckily I had the oppurtunity to read the Giver for my English course. This was one of the question that came from the teacher. As far as we know you wasn't planning to write and explaining end to the Giver series. But after a long while, you wrote Son as a finale. What did make you change your idea about explaining everything? Fan's pressure? Editor's pressure?

What was your favorite type of book to read as a young adult reader and did this reading genre influence your writing style and your choice of writing for young adult readers or no particular age group. As a teacher I read many young adult books with enjoyment. In my opinion , a good story is a good story. Thank you, Dawn Copley
