What does it takes to be a writer? Which processes did you went through? Do you think some teenager can write a novel (non-native speaker) and is writing team necessary? Publisher, editor, proofreader and stuff.

Wendy Spinale I absolutely think teenagers can write a novel. If writing is your passion, you'll find yourself in a zone in which creating a story is not only fun, but fulfilling. When I'm not writing, I tend to get the blues. I'm constantly brainstorming, collecting research, taking notes, even if I'm not writing a story. I'd highly recommend a writing group. People that love you often times don't want to hurt your feelings, so they'll tell you something is good when really it could use work. A high functioning critique group will tell you when things don't work and why. You can find critique groups through SCBWI (Google it) if you become a member. Regarding what does it take and what processes I went through, it takes a steel will and not giving up on anything: the story, the editing, the agent search, the publisher search. Good luck!
