My answer will always be, read the book first. You'll find out so much that movie won't tell you. If you're enjoying it, it's a super easy read. I started it over the long Labor Day wknd and finished it in four days.

I completely agree with Carrie Cody, the books are always gonna be better because it's based on your imagination.

SO worth the read!! Great book! I don't think the movie will do it justice and once you've seen the movie, what's the point of reading the book?

I listened to the book then watched the movie. I really enjoyed Ben Affleck as Nick, he was very well cast. The movie (as it usually goes) leaves out some things from the book, and the third section is different slightly in the movie. I think it was a good choice to check out both, even though this wasn't one of my favorite books.

the feeling from reading the book is different than watching the movie. you should read the book first. you might end up not wanting to watch the movie.

I didn't read it, but listened to the audiobook while driving long distances. Very much worth reading/listening. Audiobook narrating/acting is superb. Writing is excellent. Haven't seen the movie. Might not. Story is hard to let go. Ending didn't make me mad, as some have noted, at least not yet... Can't say it won't after I mull it all for a while. Certainly not the ending I wanted...

The book was a lot better but the movie was really good. I liked Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne.

let me just say, as a slow (and picky) reader, I had to force myself to stop reading it and take breaks! (part of it was because I wanted to finish it b/4 the movie, and another part was because of the due date, but it really is a suspenseful read that you can't put down.) It is DEFINITELY worth reading!
I just hope the movie is as good!

Read the book....Books are better then movies, but watch the movie too.
Caleb
The third act is being rewritten for the movie, so you'll have two different endings to the story, which is a reason to read it in itself.
