Recent dystopian novels tend to be more violent. But all dystopian work has the same thing in common...they are all speculations on possibilities. And they are all cautionary.

One critic in Pittsburgh stated that THE GIVER is following THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT. Does it annoy you that this person doesn't seem to be aware that YOUR book came out in 1993, long before either of the others were published? As a fan of your work, it certainly annoys me! Thank you.
