Just inhaled Parting Shot, an absolute page turner and a nice finish for Cal and Barry. Was it difficult to bid them and Promise Falls adieu?

Linwood Barclay First, thanks for the kind words about the book. It was a little sad to say so long to my Promise Falls characters, but I felt it was time to stretch a bit and do something different. Next year's book, A Noise Downstairs, is a slight departure from what I've done before, but I also think it's one of my best. Maybe I'll return to Promise Falls one day, but for now, it's in the rear view mirror.
