Goodreads asked Sudarshan Mahabal:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sudarshan Mahabal Everyone of us have an amazing story. No one writes all polished/edited story to begin with. All of it usually comes as raw thoughts. It happens typically for me at 430am through 6am. That early-morning rush of thoughts, ideas and emotions feels like my experience of scuba diving. All
the thoughts residing in the depths of my subconscious mind rise up, swirl around and press against me like a swarm of sardines. They were iridescent, mind-altering and deep!
Forgetting or getting rudely separated from those thoughts by
the demands of the day was painful, like ignoring a close friend
visiting you. So if you are spending sleepless nights, do consider giving writing a shot. It may be best use of sleepless nights and how you heal your busy mind in the process. Best wishes!
