The best thing about being a writer is the fact I get to spend my days creating. Imagining. Playing with words. These are my passions, people! And getting to live them out is easily the best thing about being a writer. :)

Also, connecting with people -- with you! I LOVE connecting with other readers, writers, people who like other worlds. I don't write to hide. I write to adventure!
