Do you need to read the other Under Suspicion books in order to read this one?

Alafair Burke They can be read in any order, and you can read this without knowing anything about the previous stories. However, the relationships among the characters do evolve over time. Thanks!
Sk888888 I would definitely read the books in order, to see how Laurie got to where she is today, how the characters have evolved, etc. I'm reading this one now, and enjoying it - I hope you do too.
Angela Mccabe I read the fifth one first by accident. Some of it was confusing since I had not read the other four. I went back and read it in order, made more sense that way. Highly recommend reading it on order.
Paul I started with the second book in the series, which begins the collaboration of Alafair Burke, and eventually circled back to the first book, "Under My Skin". Otherwise I read them in order. The first book was solely written by MHC. Later books give enough backgrounding to allow the reader to know a general timeline and the relevance of the characters.
Cora I would recommend starting at the beginning with I've Got You Under My Skin. That book isn't always listed as part of this series (I think that's because it's only by Mary Higgins Clark) but it is the first. You can read them out of order (they explain who's who in all of them) but if you plan to read all of them then you might as well begin at the beginning. If you only want to read one then you can read whichever one you want and it'll still make sense.
