I am about half way through, i think it is very shallow and one dimensional, Alice and Hatch encounter something or someone and miraculously manage to do the one thing to escape that evil thing or person. Does it get better?

Lavi No. It is among the worst displays of telling rather than showing I have ever encountered in literature. It reads like fanfiction. The dialogue is aby…moreNo. It is among the worst displays of telling rather than showing I have ever encountered in literature. It reads like fanfiction. The dialogue is abysmal. It bastardizes random characters from the classic work without a reason, because the way she perverts them is in no way tied to anything that would shine through after an analysis, no matter the point of view. I am almost at the end and all it is is Alice being shocked, Alice being saved by Hatcher, Alice being special and a lot of rape and abuse and prostitution. Therein lies the big "adult" twist. There is rape. So it's fanfiction with rape. My money has not been well spent. (less)
