Goodreads asked John M. Sheehan:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

John M. Sheehan As a Christian author, I find talking to God, worshiping Him and reading His word gives me the greatest power over writer's block. I often take this writer's block and vision it as a wall stopping me from using my gift from God reminding myself about how the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho once every day for six days with the priests and the Ark of the Covenant. On the seventh day they marched seven times around the walls, then the priests blew their ram's horns, the Israelites raised a great shout, and the walls of the city fell. So I speak as my gift is from God and it is the Holy Spirit that writes through me as I sound my spiritual ram's horn I vision my writer's block wall fall by faith.
