Goodreads asked C.C. Masters:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

C.C. Masters Just sit down and write. Let the words flow from you and once you feel like you have the feel of your characters, then sit down and throw them into situations to see how they react.

Have an outline of events that you want to happen in your book, but don't hold to strictly to it. Sometimes events that you had planned in the beginning just seem wrong when you try to force the character into it. Your book might end up going in a different direction that you expected but that's okay. What's important is staying true to your characters.

When you finally have a project that you feel is complete enough to publish, don't get cold feet! Your book will never be perfect, every time you go through it you are going to want to make changes.

It's nerve wracking to have yourself and your inner thoughts exposed to everyone to see, but try to focus on the hope that a few people will enjoy your work.

It's okay if not everyone likes it, or if you get a few bad reviews. I think about the books that made a huge difference in my life or opened my eyes in a new way - not everyone else felt the same way about them.

If only one person reads my work and likes it, that's okay.

Stay open to constructive criticism, don't be offended if people point out spelling errors or plot holes. They are giving you a chance to fix what is wrong, make your work better, and improve as an author!
