Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

M.B. Saul I got the idea from many different experiences over the years combined with my love for fantasy and fairytales. I was fortunate to grow up with two grandmas who both loved reading stories to grandkids. I've always felt a bit lost to my wandering daydreams. Some of the characters were inspired by people I knew from studying abroad. The bonds that were formed at that pivotal point in my life were extremely important to me.
