Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Marissa Slaven I wanted to write a book for my daughter with a female heroine who saved the world using her intelligence. I started to think about what she would be up against and climate change seemed like a great challenge. I learned about that and started to think about who the other characters in the book would be, what their strengths and weaknesses are and how they relate to the heroine.
