Movies have that oh-too-real quality that often make a reader cringe when books they love (as I and so many others have loved The Giver) are turned in to films. I suspect you're not free to give your real reaction, but I can't help but wonder what your reaction was to the movie adaptation. Was there a part of The Giver that you were surprised or disappointed that was left out of the movie? Pat

Lois Lowry I was only sorry that they were limited by time and so everything felt a little too rushed. I could have sat there happily for another hour!
