If I'm blocked because I'm stuck on a difficult scene, trying to get inside a character's head, or struggling to figure out where the plot is heading, I find if I step away from my computer and do something completely different, that helps. Some of my biggest breakthroughs have happened while I was mucking out a horse stall! I will just have this aha moment surrounded by manure. I'm not sure what that says about my writing...
