1) The razor pressed firmly to his neck, tears streaming down his trembling cheeks, as he tried to reason with the demons. Without his pills, it was the only way to quiet them.
2) She leaned back into her leather couch, fingering the collar of an Italian silk blouse, with a 60-yr old scotch still coating her tongue, as the fiery blink of the world's eye turned it all to dust. And in her last moments, she felt unsatisfied.

"He was my son," I replied blankly, taking my coffee from the counter.
