I thi…moreI would not quite recommend this for a 12 year-old. I personally don`t get scared easily, but Stephen King has a way of writing in a creepy way. I think those creepy things could get into a 12-year-old mind and make them imagine that those things could actually happen in real life ( there are ghost? like things and they were a little bit anxiety / panic inducing at times). Also alcoholism and domestic violence were strong themes in the story. (less)
