Goodreads asked Ashley Nikole:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ashley Nikole pt. 1--July 2014 when I was at a worship conference, and the concept, that you are worth loving no matter what happens to you--no matter how broken or messed up, just kinda smacked me between the brows. Basically a picture of unconditional love from the Father. And I was like--''Gotta write a book with that theme!" it was out of that concept that Phantom's Daughter was born! But I can't give too much away with that one without spoilers, so...

pt. 2--Ethan Fellows was in book 1 (Present History) and I couldn't just leave him alone without his own book, so I had to write one. This is it! Also--I've always been a sucker for those female pirates or outlaws, who everyone thinks is a man, is actually a lady--and shocks everyone. Yeah, always been a fan of those--so, hence--Hunter North!
