What gives you the inspiration to write stories?

Lisa See Every book is different. Sometimes I see something that lights a spark in my brain. Sometimes I read something that triggers my imagination. Sometimes I start with my own personal thoughts about a particular emotion or relationship. Really, inspiration comes in all ways.
