BE PATIENT AND LEARN. Devour books on writing and editing. Go to seminars, webinars, workshops, and conferences. Do not misinterpret these as being only for successful authors. They are for writers who are serious about being published, whether they have been published before, or not. The rules do not change after you get published. Learn them in the beginning and you should incur less stumbling blocks along the way.
