Goodreads
Goodreads asked C.W. Gortner:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

C.W. Gortner For me, besides the ability to tell stories, it has to be the schedule: I write when I want and can do other things I love, too. I'm not tied to a particular 9-to-5 day.

Alexander Xavier
Alexander Xavier asked C.W. Gortner:

Hello Mr Gortner, first I have to say that I really like your books. Till now I've read your novel about Isabella of Castile and The Confessions of Catherine de Medici; I really like your style so here is my question; Did you ever consider to write about a male monarch, like Ludwig II king of Bavaria? Or Frederick the Great, king of Prussia? I would really love to see that kind of story :D

Ellen Collier
Ellen Collier asked C.W. Gortner:

Hello again~one more question: Have you ever thought about self-publishing so you can delve into subjects that interest you, if not your publisher? That way we don't have to wait so long between books! You have quite the following and fan base--what do you think?
