Good Morning Michael!With the announcement of the "The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter" KS today I was very excited to see a hardcover addition in the mix.I was wondering if there were any plans to do a KS for you previous Riyria books that did not have a hard cover edition?I love collecting the hard covers of my favorite books for display.The Riyria books are the few that I am missing and they are my favorites!

Hey Devyn, I'm so glad that people are excited about the possibility of hardcovers (which the Kickstarter campaign will provide). We are already at 92% funded, so I do think they'll be a reality.
You are correct, Orbit never produced hardcovers of any kind for the Riyria books they published. There did sell the bookclub rights to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Club, but those copies (a) weren't very nice and (b) sold out years ago.
I, also, want hardcovers of all the Riyria books, but only Orbit controls the ability to do that, and they've declined...but...we've been in talks with them and to "buy back" the hardcover rights so we could produce them. I know that sounds really odd to pay the publisher for permission to produce my own stories, but that's how these things works.
We did get agreement from them, but there was a misunderstanding. The contract we received didn't allow for regular hardcovers, rare editions, and limited editions. So either (a) they didn't understand or (b) they were denying part of the request, while agreeing to others. We are still waiting on clarification, and I expect it'll take a while (publishing can take a long time), but I do think we'll be able to get this across the finish line.
