Why do people rate this book so high? Surely I am missing something.

I thought this would've been a better short story. There was a lot of nothing happening for me. Constant repetition of ideas, ruminating in fact. The ending was very predictable, I'd even say inevitable. Again as a short story, it would've been far better.(less)
