Hi Julie, I had to think about this question. One passage that popped into my head, probably because I am so concerned about climate change these days, is the debate Nere has with Dai in TNP about the relative value or worth of humans, dolphins and the ocean. Nere says, "I'm not sure we're any more important than other intelligent species down here. At least dolphins didn't mess up the whole planet the way we did." I'm really glad she said that!
