Hi Susan! I'm currently reading your book, The Girl in the Glass, and might I just say it's amazing. I love the characters and how you describe Florence. Which brings me to my question, I am assuming you spent time in Florence for research purposes? If so, how long did you spend there, and what was your favorite place or thing you saw? It's definitely on my bucketlist to go there, especially since reading your story!

Hi, Abigail! You know, I've only ever spent two days in Florence, one day each on two different (and too short!) trips to Italy, but it was enough to fall in love! And while I was writing this book I asked friends of mine who had also been what their impressions of Florence were and what they ate, etc., so I had several wonderful meals to include in the book that either I ate or a friend did. Keep Florence on your bucket list! You will love it...

Lived in San Diego for 35 years, still have friends in Rancho Bernardo, Poway, and Vista! Retired in FL to be near family. I just finished an ARC for As Bright as Heaven, absolutely loved it. Am now a super fan, will read other books. So, will there be a sequel to As Bright as Heaven?

I loved The Fall of Marigolds which I just completed. interesting that the word fall in the title has several references both to the season of autumn(9-11: Clara's visit to NY: Taryn's visit with Mrs. Stauer) as well as the fall from the towers and fire. I need to ask if Eleanor is the woman to whom Clara gave the trunk? Again, I loved the book which was recommended to me by 2 friends. mboerio@cinci..rr.com
