Hello Leonard, thank you for your message. I'm so sorry that your wife sufferred from dementia, it must have been very difficult for both of you. I don't have any personal experience of dementia but a lot of my friends have parents who suffered, or are still suffering, from this terrible disease, and they kindly let me use their exeriences in my book. My father is 93 and although he doesn't have dementia, he sometimes forgets words, or what he wants to say, and it is so frustrating for him. So it's fairly easy to imagine how frightening it must be when someone's mind does start going, and how hard it must be for loved ones to witness it.
I hope you have found some peace now.

Part 2 - I also received an advance copy of The Breakdown. Again, good character development, pace, and very readable writing style. I did, however, figure out the basic plot line within the first 30-40 pages. Seemed ridiculously obvious. I did finish to get the details. Maybe I read too many mysteries. But I think that your writing ability deserves better. Did anyone suggest that it was a bit too formulaic?

I cannot wait for your next book! Behind Closed Doors was THE best book I have ever read!! How were you able to so thoroughly get into the heads of the characters you wrote?? They were completely different types of personalities, and yet you were able to depict their thoughts and feelings in such a complete way! That is what most impressed me about your writing :)

That is definitely a movie I will be looking forward to seeing. I have not read “The break Down” yet. I have not been able to find it in any of our book stores. I read Behind Closed Doors and was absolutely consumed by it, I have never finished a book in such a short time as I have with said book. Literally gripped from start to finish. I am dying to get my hands on The Break Down. Where should I order it from?
