Goodreads asked Debra Mullins:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Debra Mullins For me, writer's block could mean a few different things. If I am in between books, it might mean that my creative well is dried up. In that case, I need to go somewhere or do something that inspires me, even if that is just going to the beach or to a movie. If I am in the middle of a book and I stop short, it means something is wrong in the story. Then I send the manuscript to my Kindle and read the book from the beginning as a reader rather than the writer. Readers often know instinctively where the story should go, and I am a reader as well as a writer!
