When it comes, I embrace it. If the story just-isn't-happening, then there's a reason.
The only time a slump continued for too long, it was while I was at University. I was too busy with academic writing for creative work. Eventually, it came back to me.
If writer's blog arrives at my doorstep, I just take that time to read. I spend more time with my family, enjoy life. Eventually, inspiration returns and when it does, it compensates for all the days or weeks I've lost.
