T.J. I want to start by saying you are absolutely one of my favorite authors of all time! I love everything you write one of my favorite books is "Into This River I Drown"! When you were writing this book did you write it as a stand alone book or is it in the first book in a series? The end kinda eludes of possible things to come.

Thank you, Cynthia! Into This River I Drown was always meant to stand alone. There were hints there for something else, but I have decided to let it be. However, that doesn't mean we won't see the town of Roseland again. For example, I have a book coming out next year called The Bones Beneath My Skin that takes place in Roseland. It's set in the mid-90s (pre-River), so we see some familiar characters, though the books are only related by setting and not theme or plot.
