Twisted Iron was inspired by a little family history, and my own battle with PTSD. After I wrote Fractured Steel, Aiden bugged me ... he had his own story to tell. I was talking to a cousin about our roots in Montana, and learned that my own great great grandfather was in a water rights war over by Wolf's Point. It was interesting. It grew from there.
