What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Kelly L. Miller I feel that hearing from readers who can relate to what I write is the best thing about being a writer. To have readers tell me that I've written things they had been wanting to say for a long time but couldn't figure out how to, or were afraid to, makes me feel good. This makes me feel like my writing has served a good purpose and I am humbled by that. I want to write, need to write, and have to write. It's pretty important for me. Just knowing that I can express myself (which is the main reason I write) and help someone else express themselves as well, gives me an awesome feeling. Having people identify with what I choose to express is the best part.
