Promises to Keep echoed so much of the Outlander era of which I am (who isn't?!) a die-hard fan. Will you pursue the heroic couple of this book in another? Would love to see how their new life unfolds.

What a wonderful compliment! I know exactly what you mean. Historical Fiction can be so exciting, so compelling. Canadian history in particular is full of incredible stories that aren't being told, so that has become my focus: to breathe life back into Canadian History by writing stories of love, adventure, and truths.
I'm not sure if Amelie and Connor will tell me more of their story or not (I never know what I'm going to write about until something grabs me!) but I know there will be many more stories coming which I hope will be just as compelling. I hope you'll check out "Tides of Honour" if you haven't already, and the companion to that, "Come From Away" when it's out in April 2018. I'm working on a story set in Canada's West now, and I can tell you that you won't be disappointed with those two characters. They are fascinating to me!

Genevieve.. thanks for liking my review... Letters was my first novel of yours and i will now read others . It is enjoyable to read books set in Toronto/ Canada.... I grew up in Saint John NB and wondered while reading "Letters" what SJ was like during the depression and if there were swastika clubs? My mother told me that during the depression the poor kids had lobster sandwiches and the rich kids peanut butter!

Hello! I loved Tides of Honour so much and was pleasantly surprised to read that you have a music degree. I'm currently studying flute performance at in Nova Scotia, and I would love to be able to achieve a career in performance but I recognize the importance of having other skills. Could you talk a little bit about how writing fit in with being a musician, whether it was something on the side or you always wanted to?
