Raymond Elmo
Raymond Elmo asked Greg Meritt:

Your FBI file (I have it here in front of me now) says you first wanted to become a writer after reading King's "The Stand". Question: Did that steer you to write stuff that scares the bejesus outa people; or did King's epic of civilization's disintegration appeal to an already implanted inclination to thrill psyches, and/or scare bejesus-wise?

Greg Meritt Sorry I took so long to respond, but I didn't see this until now! Gues I should check, huh? Now, on to the question at hand. It wasn't "The Stand", necessarily, that took me down the path of weirdness, pain and suffering, but an already embedded (at an early age) love of scares and thrills. Where that came from? I don't really know...however, this twisted part of me is tempered with the sense of right and wrong and always rooting for the good guy (or gal) to win. Good versus Evil and all that stuff. I also love comedy and anything that has "heart." Oh, btw, I'm reading your book now and I am enjoying it immensely. Will post a review for you soon!
