Hello Alwin! My name is Yasmin and I live in Brazil, I loved all of your books, The Rebel of the Sands and The Traitor of the Trones are one of my favorites and you`re one of my favorite authors. Now what I want is to read the 3rd one :) . I have one question for you, where did you get so inspired on your stories? cause they have so many adventures and misteries... I loved them all. lots of love!!!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! I think all 3 of the books I have written so far have have been constructed differently, but a lot of the time the way that I get inspired is daydreaming. I daydream a scene with characters that I would like to see, that I think would be exciting etc. A lot of them in REBEL are inspired by the tropes of Westerns (e.g the train heist, the shoot out in the streets with the bad guys etc.) And then once I have the pillars of the story, I figure out how to string them together. So for instance if I know I want to have Amani and Jin jump off a moving train, I need to know what the danger is that means they have to escape in such a dramatic way, and then figure out what they do to survive after they have jumped...and piece by piece it comes together, and the pillars link up.

Do you illustrate? I would like to see the characters as you see 'em. You mention in your interview that its a blend of Wild West meets Middle East in mythology/fantasy. You describe them and I just started reading this book, and already even with your descriptions I see them with mixture of Cowboy like Clint Eastwood's characters and Arabian stories like Aladdin or Prince of Persia. Only with a woman lead character.
