It's been a LONG TIME since Eve has added anyone to her inner circle, both personally and professionally. I don't think there's anything to feel suspicious about. You feel suspicious because Eve does and for 99% of the novels, you get the story from Eve's p.o.v. I have a feeling that by the time all is said and done about the DeWinter arc, she'll be a core member of Eve's group, both professionally and personally.(less)
