Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Meaghan Curley I walked past my neighbor's house one day and I saw their garage had bags of cans and bottles stacked to the ceiling. In NY, each can/ bottle is worth 5 cents and naturally I wanted all that aluminum money so bad but I knew getting caught breaking and entering for beer cans was stupid and that's when I got the idea for a story about a young girl getting caught stealing cans from her neighbor. That eventually lead to the first chapter of my first draft of "Girl: Repurposed". I ultimately took it out in later drafts but yep. True story.
