i am a boy. should i read this? or i'll just waste my time and money? some1 plz tell me some things about the content of this book because the summary is not very good..is it about a girl that becomes one summer hot and wants the boys to love her? and it contains only romance? or something like that? :/ the same goes for to all the boys ive loved before by the same author. is it like that? should i read it as well?

I think To All the Boys is better written, and I really adore Lara Jean and Peter's personalities. They're a lot stronger than Summer I Turned Pretty. Summer I Turned Pretty was really nostalgic and flip flopped from current summer to past summers. It's about a girl who has loved one boy for many years. Despite the title, it isn't too annoying that she suddenly turns pretty...She doesn't really believe it herself, and her self-discovery of it isn't the central idea of the book. Basically, this story is about growing up, realizing what you want in a relationship, and the importance of family. There's also a bit that surprised me because I was just enjoying a fluffy summer read. This wasn't too ridiculous though.
Overall: I'd suggest reading the To All the Boys I've Loved Before trilogy or first book before trying this one. It's just a better story with quirkier characters. :D (less)
