Do you need to read earlier books with Smiley to follow this one, or can they be read out of order?
Warren You would certainly have to read "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold", since "Legacy" particularly references events in that earlier novel. But since "Legacy" is the latest in a long arc of novels, I would suggest that the more Smiley books you've read before tackling this, the better.(less)
