Hi, This is my "first time" [of writing to any author for any reason]. I have read your Kim Stone books, and am finishing Bloodlines (already pre-ordered your newest offering Broken Bones #7). I am an absolutely devoted fan. So---I have a burning question. What were the thoughts, strategy, motivation... (you get the gist) of HOW you created the character of Kim Stone? She is my #1 female protagonist.

Angela Marsons Hi Carole, thank you so much for your question and so pleased you are enjoying the books. The character of Kim Stone built in my mind over many years but I didn't dare let her out as she seemed so unlikeable and rude. It wasn't until I actually allowed her out that I came to understand her whole character better, her likes and dislikes, her passions, her drive, her tenacity and her empathy for the underdog or the victim. All traits which I hope go some way to balancing her brusque and rude nature. Hope this helps xx
