How do you get inspired to write?

Sherry Leclerc I get inspiration from the things I see and hear around me every day, from conversations I have had that have given me food for thought, from books I have read and movies I have seen. I don't mean I plagiarize or anything...just that sometimes I will read or watch something that will make me think, "that's interesting, but what if..."

I also have favorite authors who have influenced my writing, and from a number of different genres. My love of the fantasy genre began in high school, when I first read J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I also love fantasy/Sci-fi and romance cross-over books, some of my favorite being those by Sherrilyn Kenyon and J.R. Ward, and of course Stephanie Meyer.
