Like a lot of historical fiction, there are several books about a historical person but doesn't make it "the same". Hamilton for example. Several books on his life. Some similarities since based on a real person, but not the same. Lol

I’ve read the book and seen the movie and although they’re also based on the Cottingley events, the stories are completely different than in this book. “The Cottingley Secret” is more like the real events and “Fairy Tale: A True Story” is the movie that would be more similar to this book.
