Lucy is stated to be a few years younger than Ethan when they are first introduced... but when Shelby was pregnant with Ethan she went to a geneticist Dr (turns out it was Meredith) but the Dr was out supposedly getting an abortion (which she didn't and that was Lucy) So then they should be the same age... right?

not just that... meredith only discovered she was pregnant after the car accident that Ross saves her from... but Shelby was breastfeeding her baby when the police called her to tell her about the accident. But the book states that Meredith was going for an abortion when Shelby went for the appointment.
