At the moment I am writing a very long novel so having a writer's block is part of the business but waiting for the inspired moments not: you can never finish a long novel if you only write when you feel like writing. My method is the "only the next sentence" - I only force myself to write one next sentence and no more. One sentence is always in the pipeline and sometimes - not always - this only sentence opens the way for the next paragraph or the next page and so on. If not, I just write one sentence and it means I am one sentence closer to the end...
