I think you've understood it really well, Carly. So basically, what she said :) Angela knows what she's done; she just doesn't tell Novak a lot of what she internally thinks about or reveals.

I also think the ending allows you to realize that Angela/Little John is an unreliable narrator. It makes you recognize you have to question everything else she has told Novak.

I really like this thread. The detail where Novak hears her talking to herself is chilling. It made me wonder, though, how far back we should question. For instance, Angela tells her mom at one point that she isn't sure that HP ever cared about her, and Novak does point out that it's weird that HP showed up with Ezra to Oxford. An "easy" answer would be that she starts with break with Saskia emerges, but I'm not sure it's that simple. I wrote in my review about how perhaps it all begins with both Angela and HP being influenced by their families. Anyway, just my thoughts on it!
