Phytoestrogens (plant estrogens) do not equal animal estrogens. And no one questions synthetic estrogens in dairy, which are obviously meant to behave like estrogen.

Dairy industry-funded studies that come to conclusions either not found in their own studies or intentionally brought about is not sufficient evidence.

Just because you are certified in something does not mean you got accurate information from your sources.

He even sorts out the differences between over-reaching soy industry studies about the benefits of soy (that claim magic feats from soy); separate from the double-blind, placebo controlled studies on humans, and separate from dairy industry-funded studies meant to lure customers away from competitors.

Did you even read the book?

Dr. Greger does not even recommend soy for adult women to actively fight breast cancer (he essentially says it is safe, does not cause breast cancer, may help prevent somewhat, but not a CURE).

His recommendations are (in order):
Avoid alcohol except for red wine,
sleep in darkness for melatonin production,
vigorous aerobic/cardio exercise,
Avoid well-done meat, but preferably all meat
Avoid cholesterol
eat broccoli (and other cruciferous vegetables) and flax seeds,
Eat more fiber
Eat apples with skins
Do whatever you can to eat more greens
Drink green tea
Eat mushrooms (cooked)

He does not even make money off this stuff, they spend hours of research as a non-profit because his intention is to save lives.

But if you prefer to take your first source of information as the be-all end-all, have fun. But just know your recommendations could be the ones risking lives.

Whole food plant based diets have been proven to reverse cancer.
We should probably avoid highly processed soy foods though, but lightly and unprocessed sources like edamame, soy beans, tofu, and soy milk (best unsweet) should be perfectly fine for occasional to regular consumption for those without allergies to soy.(less)
